ABOUT ME
My 25 years of nutritional science was born out of a passion for fitness and a love of biochemistry. As a young college student, I was lucky to find Solaray a leading branded vitamin/mineral supplement manufacturer who ran a lab on campus of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Solaray soon became Nutraceutical corp. and provided real time experience in a working laboratory while simultaneously getting an ACS certified degree in chemistry. Working for Nutraceutical provided an excellent growth and learning opportunity through the manufacturer some of the highest quality supplements in the marketplace. By the year 2001 I had become a leading expert on the analytical testing of natural products using state for the art techniques such high performance liquid chromatography. The next 7 years led me into research science in the synthesis, and spray drying of amino acid chelates at Albion Advanced Nutrition. Albion provided another great environment which allowed me to participate in 12 provisional patent applications 8 of which were granted patent status by the USPTO. The last 9 years working for Systemic Formulas provided an opportunity to help build and run a state-of-the-art laboratory and increase my skill set to include food Microbiology along with the culture and freeze drying of new and unique microorganisms. The last few years were spent using UPLC MSMS to create testing methods for the analysis of a wide variety of compounds in human body fluids. (whole blood, plasma, urine, and saliva) I’ve worked on many different research projects over my career, with the most recent resulting in the issue of US 9433597 B2 Powered drink mix for recovery, which. This gives me a solid background in chemistry research science to draw on in designing and carrying out new research projects.
